Was today just awesome or awesome! (: It was athletics day today, and I didn't know that we didn't have classes. I was the only one who didn't sign up for any event for athletics day, so I had like the whole day to myself and I could do whatever I want! Wheeeeee.
So, instead of being out on the field like everyone else, I stayed in a classroom along with other people from the other year levels to do whatever I want. I finished up my math homework so now I have no homework to do yay! Then I decided to read as much of The Kite Runner as I could. Halfway I got kinda tired, so I took out my ipod and listened to music while reading. Eyes got tired, so I put down my book and watched a movie on my ipod. I thought it'd last me the rest of the school hours but my battery was running low already so I just switched back to listening to music and took a short nap (:
Then, TRAINING! Hahahahah today's training was retarded. Not that the set was easy or anything (But on second thoughts, we've begun tapering already), but we suddenly had so many stupid convos today.
Liz:
You know today at school, my social studies teacher told me about this guy, who killed a baby by slitting him/her open and stuffing drugs in him/her to bring to America!?
Everyone:
(Shocked)
Liz:
That poor thing! ):
Peter:
The baby's already dead, so get over it already!
Liz:
Okay fine, but seriously, why would anyone want to stuff drugs in a baby!? ):
Andrei:
To make it smell good.
Everyone:
Hahahah!
---
Gary:
Try to kill someone with your turns!
Me:
Yeah sure, I'd kill myself.
Jess:
Hahahahahah. Hahahahahah. (And she kept laughing to herself for a decently long time..)
---
Gary:
We're going on the red top, people!
Jeff:
(Pushes off the wall at the black top when we have 30secs more)
Me:
(Stops him)
Stefan:
Jeff what are you doing! We're on the red top!
Jeff:
I know! I'm practicing my push-offs!
Everyone:
._________.
Jeff:
(Goes back to the wall and pushes off it a couple of times more)
Omg so retarded.
---
Mallory:
Gary keeps calling you A-lee-si-ah! I can't take it! It's A-lee-sa right?
Me:
Yup it's A-lee-sa.
Valerie:
Yah, and Sam calls you Alicia. Hahahahahah!
Me:
My coach in Singapore used to call me that too -.-
Valerie:
It's so annoying. I'm like, GET IT RIGHT GARY!!!!!
Me:
ROFL.

Anyway, I'm really really happy because I've already gotten my excuse letter from my Dean in school for being away for
one week to be in Christchurch! Whoohoo! This is the first time I am going to skip school for one week because of a swimming competition. Hahah! I'll be away for one full week: Sunday 2 March to Sunday 9 March. I really can't wait to have my first competition with the team.
My checklist thingo is out too. We're having some movie night on Monday in Christchurch according to the list and we have a dinner on Saturday! Like it is with Asean Cups. I will go out this weekend and look for a nice dress to wear for that dinner. I know I usually
never wear dresses and I was the
Anti-Dresses kind of person. But being here in a totally new environment, I've come to realise that dresses make people look really nice so I think I'll go dress-hunting this weekend (:
I got my coat from HPK and it makes me really really nice and cozy and warm in the mornings. It's like super thick and there's like wool inside. I shall take a picture of all my gear/clothes/whatever things when I've packed for Christchurch.
Okay, time for dinner now. I hope my trip to Christchurch will be exciting and fufilling! Of course, I'm not exactly looking forward to the "competition" part, but that's what it's all about, isn't it? :/
Wish me luck guys, because I have 11 more days to mentally and physically prepare myself for my first major meet which will involve the whole of NZ swimming communitee.
